- Journey to the Far Pavilions of Rajasthan:
A presentation by ImageMaker Craig Lovell • 2pm
- Craig’s presentation will include imagery from his two visits to Rajasthan taken 20 years apart. Just last year he traveled to Johdpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur. He also photographed the three day Mewar festival. Hindu women carry effigies of Shiva and Parvati to the lake side in Udaipur where they worship the deities to bring good luck and prosperity to their husbands. Dressed to the nines in a rainbow of colored silk and dripping with gold jewelry, the women dance to the hypnotic rhythms of their indigenous music. Craig will also take you to the Pushkar Camel Fair which combines a Hindu Pilgrimage with camel races, livestock trading and much more.
